What is Classical Homeopathic Medicine?

Homeopathy is a two hundred year old system of medicine discovered in Germany by Samuel Hahnemann, MD. Classical homeopathic medicine used in its highest form is the most powerful and comprehensive medical system known today.

The FDA has approved of homeopathic medicines since 1825 when it was used successfully in the treatment of severe diseases such as cholera and yellow fever. The US enjoyed a rich history including 110 homeopathic hospitals and 22 homeopathic medical schools including the University of San Francisco. Many US trained physicians were homeopaths until the decline after the Flexnor Report of 1910 and the advent of pharmaceuticals which combined to standardize medicine. With the discovery of cortisone, insulin and penicillin how doctors viewed medicine, illness and how to work with people changed. Doctors began to perceive symptoms as something to eliminate with a drug rather than clues in understanding the process of disease.

Since the resurgence of homeopathy throughout the world in the late 1970s this old way of thinking in medicine is returning. Homeopathic medicines when prescribed correctly remove the true root of ill health. The secret to their unique success is not by adding anything more positive to the body, but by chemically removing an obstruction which is preventing wellness. The medicines are derived from nature as either mineral, plant or animal extract. They are made into specific potencies that enable them to get at and remove the underlying root of the condition. The substances illicit an electro-chemical response from the nervous system and immune system in a gentle and permanently lasting way. Responses to a correct preparation can often be astounding to such gentle and natural preparations. Potential side effects are discussed and are usually minimal to none. What is more commonly noticed is a detoxification response of mind and body. The disease process is at first slowed, then set in reverse and often cured.
